OSgrid is Finally 18! Time for a Legal Beach Party at Event Plaza !

Get your sunglasses ready and your flip-flops on, because the biggest celebration of the year is about to hit the shores of Event Plaza! That’s right, OSgrid is turning the big one-eight! For 18 years, we have been a cornerstone of the open metaverse, a hub for creators, explorers, and communities. And now, as an 18+ grid, we can finally say it: we’re officially and legally allowed to hang out at our own LBSA Plaza ! 😉

To mark this incredible milestone, we’re throwing a party that will last all week long.

What: OSgrid’s 18th Birthday Bash Theme: One Long Hot Summer Beach Party. When: A full week of festivities from Monday, July 28th to Sunday, August 3rd. Where: The Partyplace ofcourse, Event Plaza.

We are transforming the Event Plaza into a coastal paradise for a celebration you won’t forget. Think sun-drenched shores, swaying palm trees, cool tunes drifting on the virtual breeze, and a bonfire or two to gather around with old friends and new ones. It’s a time to relax, dance, and celebrate the spirit of community that has kept OSgrid thriving for 18 amazing years.

This birthday isn’t just about a number; it’s a testament to every single volunteer, builder, scripter, and resident who has contributed to our world. It’s a celebration of your creativity, your resilience, and your passion for an open and free metaverse.

Showcase Your Creations! Birthday Exhibit Plots Available

Like every year, the celebration includes you! We invite you to build and promote your regions by grabbing an exhibit plot and joining the festivities. This is the perfect opportunity to show off your projects, communities, and creative talents to the entire grid. If you would like a plot to build on, please contact an OSgrid admin in-world or on our Discord.

Please note: The first region for exhibits, OSG18B1, is already full! More plots are now available in the newly opened OSG18B2 region. Grab them while they last!

So, what do you need to do?

1. Mark your calendars for the last week of July.
2. Dig out your best beachwear – swimsuits, loud shirts, sunglasses, and sun hats are highly encouraged!
3. Get ready to party with the best community on the Hypergrid.
