The OSgrid board & team wishes all residents & contributors of the OSgrid a creative, blessed and happy 2025. We sincerely thank you for all your support, your generous donations, your kind words, and your trust in our team. Also to all owners and residents of all the other grids out there, big or small, also to you and those you love, all the best and a happy 2025 from the OSgrid team.
At the end of the year it is a goods time to reflect. Instead of talking about servers, we’d like to take a moment and think about the friends that logged out and won’t relog ever again. Great memories of fun and good times, creating and hanging with your friends carry the real value in our worlds. In the end, collaboration will give more ‘meaning’ to your existence inworld than any prim ever will.
It’s also time to look ahead though. And to make a memory of the iconic year to come, we would like to invite you for a group photo on LBSA plaza. We will take it on January 1st 11.00 Grid time. Just one for the records. We know its a bit on short notice, but feel free to pop by and join if you can make it. Wherever you’re from. All are welcome.
In 2025 the OSgrid will become 18, and it is surrounded by a whole Metaverse of wonderful grids. Despite old and iconic grids have been disappearing over the past decade, we are really happy to see newer grids actively building their legacy and history, and growing in both age, size and population. We sincerely encourage you to keep up the great work ! This ultimately is what OpenSimulator was made for.
Gridwise, work on assets is still in progress, so is work on the next web backend. For now you can check our latest region showcase, and we will get back with a status update next year.
