Dear OSgrid residents,
We are reaching out today to inform you of an important decision regarding the future of OSgrid. Unfortunately, the current situation has become unsustainable. Since today, all IAR files have been corrupted, which significantly impacts the proper functioning of the grid. After careful analysis, it has become clear that it is no longer viable to keep OSgrid online under these conditions.
To preserve the integrity of our network and ensure that all our users can benefit from a stable and reliable experience, we have made the decision to put OSgrid into long-term maintenance. We fully understand the frustration this may cause, and we want to assure you that this decision was made with the aim of ensuring a stronger and more reliable comeback, but under better conditions.
We fully acknowledge the challenges everyone is facing and wish to express our sincere gratitude for your understanding and support. We have decided to completely rebuild the assets in a new format, in order to resolve ongoing issues and provide a much more robust and sustainable infrastructure.
The reconstruction work will be lengthy and meticulous, and we will leave no stone unturned. We intend to take the necessary time to ensure the result is stable, functional, and, most importantly, secure. We are committed to keeping you regularly updated on the progress and will respond to your questions in a timely manner at the best of our ability. We kindly ask for your patience and cooperation as we navigate this period of transition.
It is important to remember that OSgrid is run by volunteers, all of whom are deeply passionate and committed to the platform. However, it’s also important to keep in mind that our team consists of real people, parents, and professionals with lives outside of their roles within OSgrid. We kindly ask that you continue to show respect and kindness toward our volunteers, who work tirelessly to maintain the quality of our service.
We are more determined than ever to bring OSgrid back stronger than before, with the dedication you expect from us. We thank you sincerely for your understanding and patience, and we encourage you to remain positive and supportive during this period of change. We remain available for any questions and will continue to communicate regularly to keep you updated on the situation.
With respect and gratitude,
The OSgrid Team
